Hampstead is the quintessential American small town. We have a busy Main Street filled with small businesses and neighborhoods that offer a range of housing options. We are a family-oriented community with excellent schools, churches and many recreational opportunities including popular youth sports programs. Many of our residents commute to nearby Baltimore and its surrounding metropolitan area to work. The Town continues to work towards construction of the Hampstead Bypass, a high-speed, limited access roadway that will reduce traffic congestion on our Main Street. When constructed, the Bypass will allow us to fully implement our plan to revitalize Main Street. As Mayor, I help lead our local government. Hampstead has one of the lowest municipal tax rates in Carroll County and consistently delivers a high level of public services to our residents. In addition to core services like road maintenance, police protection, trash removal, etc., we support community events like Hampstead Day and the annual holiday lighting ceremony. We have a fine system of small parks throughout Town and have begun work on a 16-acre park and ball field complex near North Carroll Street.
